Experiencing and sharing: these are the two principles that guide our philosophy, especially in learning, but also a way of living in general. We make sure that during our courses you get carried away by creativity and to be able to express yourself freely in whatever you do.
Cooking courses:
Awareness: you can discover a rich, balanced and healing diet, which stimulates vital energy and helps us to listen to our body and to understand our basic needs.
Tuscany: discovering the culinary traditions. During the courses you will discover all the secrets to make homemade pasta, delicious dishes with fresh and wholesome ingredients.
At the end of the courses, guests can enjoy all the delicacies prepared with your own hands!
Course on wild herbs for medical and culinary use::
In the farmer’s culture there has always been the habit of going to pick herbs. In the Alberelli family we have the luck to be able to continue this fascinating tradition of picking herbs in the countryside thanks to grandmother Cristiana who will introduce you to this wonderful world. Via wonderful walks you will learn to recognize wild herbs and you will be given information on how to collect and dry them.
Eventually we will put into practice by cooking and turning them into healthy and tasty recipes using wild herbs in our everyday life!
How to make a vegetable garden:
We organize basic courses to learn how to make a vegetable garden, because we like to share and pass on the healthy working of the earth! During the course we will discover which jobs must be carried out from one season to another, how to do the sowing, then the transplanting, the stem cuttings and how and when to pick the fruits of the land
We will make boxes together that will allow you to go home and continue this wonderful experience!
Tasting our Extra Virgin Olive Oil:
During your stay you can ask for a tasting of our Alberelli Extra Virgin Olive oil so you can discover this typical Mediterranean flavour. It will be a pleasure to discover its fruity flavour, its spicy aftertaste under the shade of a cypress, and in front an unforgettable view of the Mediterranean sea. The hills of the Etruscan Coast (Livorno), with their gentle reliefs and near the sea, are the perfect place to obtain an extraordinary olive oil for its quality and taste!
The cost of the tasting is € 10.00 per person.
Relaxing and exploring
We will always be delighted to suggest places to visit, bays and beaches. To show you also the natural paths which take you into the wide green spaces where you can relax.
Walking
We invite you to walk in our wonderful “Macchia Mediterranea”, to enjoy the sea breeze and the scents of the forest and contemplate the warm colours of nature. We can inform you on the many pathways which lead to beautiful villages and places sacred to the Etruscan civilization that you could visit. Near the farm there are protected green areas of natural interest recognized by the local authorities, such as the Monte Pelato SIR and the Park Monti Livornesi, where you can do some gorgeous hiking in between nature, culture and history.
Picnics
In the land surrounding the farm there are several green areas overlooking the sea where you can enjoy picnics with our baskets full of delicious food and natural products prepared by the Alberelli family especially for you: first fruits of the season, Tuscan recipes and a good choice of local wines are included too.
Feeling at home
It’s our sincere desire that you can feel as if it were your home and that is why we are putting extra services at your disposal:
A Cook at home:
From your arrival you can also decide not to cook by allowing a personal cook to prepare for you and your family typical Tuscan dishes directly in your own apartment.
Typical products:
you can buy local organic products such as olive oil, wine, honey, jams, and many other seasonal products.
Service Information:
you will find information and tips: maps, useful phone numbers, list of restaurants, shops, events and Slow Food in the area, places to visit and information on the property. We put at your disposal our knowledge of the area so as to plan excursions and sightseeing tours.
Baby-sitter:
if you want to spend a romantic evening, we can offer an expert babysitting service that will take care of your children.
Wi-Fi Outside the apartments:
Inside the farm there is a space equipped for free and unlimited access to the internet.
Linen:
In each apartment you will find all the necessary linen (for the kitchen too) and each guest has his own bathroom towels.
Housekeeping:
If you prefer we can take care of the cleaning of the apartment during your vacation.
Massages
You can enjoy a stay at the Alberelli farm by booking a regenerating massage in the middle of the woods, letting yourself being cuddled by the silence of the place, while enjoying the wonderful view of the sea and the green Tuscany hills.
Animals:
Your four-legged friends are always welcome in our farm, but to avoid having problems with the other guests, we gently welcome only small and medium sizes. They must be well behaved and sociable. We please ask you to let us know when booking.
