A PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE BOUND TO NATURE

At Rural Villa Alberelli we live in complete harmony with nature, respecting it’s cycles. So we  have created our company, our facilities and our activities, following this principle. All our choices follow nature’s course  which  are linked with us and we try to minimize the impact on it:

• Our apartments  have thick walls due to their ancient origin so they don’t require any air conditioning as they are very cool during the summer.
• The  surrounding meadows grow freely as the seasons change, offering you all the different and beautiful colours that nature can provide.
• We use recycled  rainwater  for watering our land and gardens.
• We do a careful recycling of the garbage every day.
• We have chosen not to build a swimming pool in order to keep the natural beauty and peace  of  this place and also because it is very near to the seaside.
• We have decided to do without  televisions  because we believe that the only way you can truly relax  is to live wit’s nature’ rhythm.

All these rules were necessary values to initiate an environmentally sustainable project.

The farm was built and restructured  respecting the typical architecture of the Tuscan countryside, taking into account the surrounding environment.

The vegetable garden

At the Rural Villa Alberelli you can enjoy cultivating, picking and eating  organic vegetables. Our vegetable garden is part of our farming traditions which have been passed on to us from our grandparents as part of a treasure without of course losing sight of new farming methods. Throughout the year you can enjoy freshly picked seasonal vegetables and transform them into delicious recipes.

Il Grano

Da qualche anno all’Agriturismo Alberelli ci impegniamo a riprodurre sementi di antiche qualità di grano, divenendo coltivatori custodi. Queste sementi servono per mantenere in vita il grande patrimonio che l’immensa biodiversità dei grani rappresenta.
